Marg Erp Signs MoU With Jharkhand Govt To Open Chain Of Centers To Train Rural Youth

  • A number of centres will be opened in the state in a phased manner which will train hundreds of youngsters. The first one is coming up in Palamu.
  • The duration of the course will be five months. The company will also offer placement assistance to students.

New Delhi/Ranchi, 12 April 2018: Sharpening its focus to provide skill and employment to the rural youth in the country, Delhi-based Marg Erp Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jharkhand Government to set up a chain of centres in the state to provide training in various trades under ICT and Banking sector as well as accounting software.

The first such centre is coming up at Palamu in the state. It will train 480 students from scheduled, caste, scheduled tribes and minority communities. The centre will cater to training requirements from nearby areas like Garhwa also. In the Palamu Centre, 250 young boys and girls will take admission in the centre from Plamu and another 230 from Garhwa.

The MoU has been signed between Marg Erp Ltd and Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society, Govt. of Jharkhand under the DDU GKY ROSHNI (DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY GRAMEEN KAUSHALYA YOJANA ROSHNI) initiative.

“We wholeheartedly share government’s vision of providing training to the youngsters in rural parts of the country. The boys and girls in rural areas have immense  potential to make a mark for themselves in professional world. Since we share that vision with government, we have joined hands with the government  to have a chain of centres in which these youth will be provided training and then provided placement after that. The first of the centers is being set up in Palamu. Other centers in Jharkhand will come up in phases,” said Mr. Sudhir Singh, Managing Director, Marg ERP Ltd.

The company had earlier joined hands with the Union Ministry of Rural Development for its National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) as well as various State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) for the purpose.

The inventory software major Marg Erp Ltd is setting up state-of- the-art residential centers in the state which will have a capacity to train hundreds of students. All necessary skills will be provided to them and then placement assistance will also be offered. The duration of the training to be provided under the initiative will be five months. The centres will have well qualified trainers and staff. They will also have separate boarding and lodging facilities for boys and girls.

The company has opened such training centers in other states also and has met with very enthusiastic response from youth and their parents. The DDU-GKY was launched on 25 th September, 2014 on the occasion of 98th birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The initiative aims to target youth, under the age group of 15–35 years and is tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.
